In 1945, Moll Tool and Die Corporation was incorporated in Indiana by Walter Moll and Joe Halbig for the purpose of building tools, dies, plastic molds, and fabricating special metal stamping. By 1948, the building of plastic molds was the core concentration for Moll's staff of 15, and metal stamping production was phased out in order to meet the changing needs of Moll customers. Within a few years, the company entered into injection molding of thermoplastic materials, and in 1959 the company name was changed to Moll Tool and Plastics Corporation.

Many events and business progressions have occurred since. Today Moll Industries is headquartered in Dallas, TX, and our footprint continues to expand to multiple continents, offering wide-ranging press tonnage capability, assembly expansion and logistics solutions. Moll is now a significant provider of global injection molding and full-service contract manufacturing solutions for the medical, appliance, industrial, consumer and automotive markets.
