MOLL INDUSTRIES INVESTS IN HYBRID ELECTRIC PRODUCTION WITH NEGRI BOSSI MACHINERY
Dallas, TX, and Newark, DE -
Plastic injection molder Moll Industries, Inc. and Negri Bossi have contracted to deliver two new Vector Series machines currently en route to Moll's Ramos Arizpe, Mexico plant. Representing the next step in Moll's ongoing Mexican growth and expansion, the equipment is expected to be in place and running within a few weeks. Recognized as a leader of precision injection molding for over 60 years, Moll continues to incorporate the most contemporary manufacturing methods and molding technologies; and this development illustrates a transition for Moll from standard hydraulically operated machines to the next generation of hybrid electric machinery. The Negri Bossi's hybrid V1000-12000 injection molding machines, each with 1100 tons of clamping force and 225 oz injection capacity, extend Moll's capabilities in the region, and validate Moll's commitment to invest in alignment with customer projections of escalating business volumes.
According to Joe Pack, Vice President of Moll Industries, "These Negri Bossi machines increase our capacity to deliver value-added customer solutions, beginning with the most current molding processes right through supply chain management and distribution of parts. Along with the supervisory software, the machines are capable of qualifying components and products as they are molded, and offer remote and local full part trace capabilities. In our marketplace, there is continual demand to meet strict requirements to produce within tight tolerances. With newer technology, we're able to ensure we can consistently achieve this goal."
In addition to extremely fast cycle times, the new Vector Series machinery offers a patented electric screw direct-drive system and Negri Bossi's state-of-the-art, all-digital CANbus machine control system which seamlessly integrates with the Amico™ wireless PC system for automatic SPC and production monitoring as well as remote troubleshooting via the internet. That system maximizes uptime, enhances part quality and makes servicing customers easier.
