MOLL INDUSTRIES RECEIVES 2003 WHIRLPOOL SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE AWARD
DALLAS, TX - Appliance giant Whirlpool Corporation has named plastics manufacturer Moll Industries, Inc. to an elite group by recognizing them with a "Whirlpool Corporation Supplier Performance Award" for service in 2003. The award acknowledges suppliers attaining preferred levels of performance in the areas of quality, productivity and materials management. Moll is among a select few of only 4% of Whirlpool's North American supplier base to receive this honor.
In a letter dated March 29, 2004, Franklin B. Starn, Vice President, Global Commodity Management, Whirlpool North American Region Procurement congratulated president Ron Embree of Moll Industries, stating, "You and your organization should take great pride in this accomplishment." He also said "Your performance leadership benefits both of our organizations and most importantly, our customers."
Responding to the news, president Embree congratulated the entire Moll organization by addressing his team in a memo that stated "It is obvious that each of you understand our goal to meet or exceed our customers expectations by adding VALUE in every aspect of our jobs." Embree also said, "This award is a reflection of the entire corporation! Without everyone's efforts and dedication to create and provide VALUE to and through the New Moll, this award would not have been possible."
A celebration and dinner ceremony was held at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor, Michigan at 6:00 PM on Thursday evening, April 29,2004 to commemorate the achievements. Randy Snapp, Operations Manager of the Moll Arkansas Division and Lynn Nernberger, Corporate Technical Services Manager, of Moll in Evansville, IN were in attendance to participate in the tribute.
